Every night I am walking around this room with my hands clasped tight, what am I like?
I'm sinking in my living room to rhythms that are never quite right.
The sound and the sight twirling around eyes and I don't think I've seen the light.
What's the lesson in these lines? I'm just cringing the night away.
Melodies don't let me down.
They lie with me on the ground.
They tell me it's okay to fall.
So drop the needle, start again.
How could I know when I was singing "End of The Line" at 12 years old that now I'd fold in two when I hear that song on the radio.
"Trust your intuition" They're words that I believe.
Now the songs I loved when I was young are starting to apply to me.*
Oh! Darling, I'm just cringing the night away, yeah, just cringing the night away.
Melodies don't let me down.
They lie with me on the ground.
They tell me it's okay to fall.
Take a deep, deep breath. 'Cause nothing's ever life or death.
Not by any stretch, please think of all that you have left.
How am I expected to grow? It's all too cynical.
about
We recorded this song sometime in early 2012 after we had been asked to take part in the second helping of the Ska is Dead vinyl subscription series by Underground Communique and Asbestos Records. After sending off the track and then subsequently forgetting about it, we finally received our copies of the 7" in December 2012.

One of the big things that make this set so special is just how personable everything is. The music is great and all, of course, but you can tell that everyone in the band is excited to be there and to perform, not just in general but in that moment.
It all feels natural to a level where even the mistakes are part of the experience, as few as they are.
Past the parts of this that make it a good live show specifically, everything sounds great. You get a little bit of everything here. Cardian Matsu
